The spirit blows where it will, so maybe anything at all can be a "form" of it. Again, God - the ultimate Reality - is that in which we live and move and have our being, therefore who can set parameters?
Being "born of the spirit" is surely to be open to the "spirit", to be open to seeing it anywhere, even in the unlikeliest of places - in others unlike ourselves, in those whose doctrines and beliefs are at variance with those handed down to us.
The litmus test is with the fruits of the spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (St Paul) Such fruits can be found right across the whole wide world of our Faith Traditions - undeniably; and also outside of those Traditions, in those who profess no faith at all.
Christians are asked to "test the spirits" to see if they be of God. Sadly, for some, the prime test becomes as to whether or not another human being witnesses to the same creed and formulaes. Which begins the tragedy of organised Religion.
